I’ve unwittingly managed to get friends from so many different walks of life. Some of them are married, some of them are not. Some of them are young, some of them are not so young. Some of the are professionals, some of them are in the media, and some of them are in school. I guess everyone contributes to this rich tapestry, I call my life. It’s lovely to hang out with all sorts of different people and sometimes, have them impart wisdom and share a little of what you have. It’s nice to be appreciated.
There have been many times, where I have sat down and envied the stability that comes from working in an industry that isn’t centered around the volatility of the media. Or sat down and thought about how nice it would be to come home to someone, and perhaps in the future (not near) have kids (!). But, there ae nights, I tell you, there are nights. When being single and oh, so, inexplicably young- is just downright amazing. With the right people, the right music and some great conversation. And driving home afterwards, late at night, early in the morning, just the music, and the streetlights and the wind in you hair.
I’m so grateful.
